POWER FLUSH DRAIN LINES & INSPECTION

POWER FLUSH DRAIN LINES & INSPECTION SERVICES

Over time, it’s very common for improperly maintained drains lines to get blocked up and lose their functionality — which can lead to some very costly damage in your commercial building or restaurant. Power flushing is an effective way to quickly clear up problems, but as always, it’s smarter to take a preventative approach. Maintain It recommends annual commercial drain cleaning to keep things running smoothly, and our 24/7 service team is always available to work around your operating hours.

WHAT IS POWER FLUSHING?

And how does it work? The name might have tipped you off, but it’s basically a high pressure method plumbers use to flush out blocked up drains, sewage lines, and even radiant heating systems. We use specialized equipment to blast extremely pressurized water (up to 3000 psi, if we want to get specific) through your drain lines to safely remove dirt, debris, grease, and sludge that is inhibiting your system.
One of the great things about power flushing (a method also known as “jetting” or “hydro jetting”) is that it doesn’t require the use of harmful chemicals to get the job done. Other commercial drain cleaning methods use chemicals that can erode and damage your drain lines, reducing their lifespan and opening the door to some larger problems like backflow and early replacements.

SOME SIGNS YOU MAY REQUIRE POWER FLUSHING

If things are really clogged up, it won’t be hard to notice. Slower than normal draining speeds and standing water are obvious signs that a blockage is building. But there are also some more subtle signs that may indicate it is time for a commercial drain cleaning appointment. For example, if you notice strange noises such as gurgling sounds coming from your drains, or even unpleasant smells emitting from the sink, you should contact Maintain It for an inspection as soon as possible. This is especially true if you notice water or puddles gathering outside near your building, which could indicate an even larger sewage line issue. As always, the earlier you catch it, the easier it will be to fix — and with regular preventative cleanings, these problems can be avoided altogether.

GREASE TRAPS AND KITCHEN HOOD CLEANING.

Anyone who’s ever run back-of-house is all too familiar with grease traps. It certainly pays to look after them; without a clean, efficient drainage system, your kitchen can be thrown into chaos when you least expect it. Improperly maintained grease traps can easily clog your drains and cause a lot of nasty (not to mention expensive) problems. As part of our restaurant cleaning service, we can regularly inspect, clean, and pump out grease traps to help you avoid downtime and costly repairs.
Another crucial task is cleaning your kitchen hoods. Commercial kitchen exhaust hoods can collect plenty of grease, dirt, dust and grime as a result of daily cooking. When your kitchen hood filter gets dirty, it can negatively impact the circulation of clean air in your kitchen and/or building — and you even risk flammable vapors entering into your ductwork, where they can pose significant fire risks. Maintain It can quickly and thoroughly clean your exhaust hoods using specialized tools that reach all the hardest to reach spots.
